Emma Wiggins took me for a drive in her lovely gig pulled expertly by Rupert. He is by Mill Creek Valiant out of standardbred mare Sasha. He is a 15.2-3 hh chestnut with four whites and certainly knows his job very well, even though he is still only 4 yo!! Emma was telling me all about his training- it certainly was like another era in the gig, people were very friendly and many stopped to talk to Emma. What a fantastic way to get about the countryside.

We went down a couple of roads to the church where Emma and Jason had been married two weeks before. The church was very pretty with lovely mature trees and a gorgeous nook. I took some photos of them there. Then we returned home via the oldest oak tree in New Zealand. The trip was surprisingly quick and a lot of fun.
