Valiant has been owned by Ballytruckle Stud since 2001. In his time here he has left many impressive foals out of Welsh Cob, TB and pony mares. He stamps his foals with his calm, hard working temperament, with correct conformation, good quality flat bone, striking markings and all have a sense of humour and a love of people and work. Jumping comes naturally to them all.
Valiant's fillies have won consecutive Youngstock Cob Championships at the North Island Welsh Pony and Cob Show, 2005 and 2006 under visiting international judges.
Ballytruckle and visiting mare owners are excited about the quality progeny he throws. As an example his oldest daughter bred at Ballytruckle, has in her first season competing under saddle achieved some great results. In the show season 2006-2007 5yo Ballytruckle Shilelagh (Millcreek Valiant X Star(tb)) has won 8 Champion and Reserve Champion Ridden Cob titles from 5 outings at shows including the National Horse and Pony Show.
B. Shilelagh won several more titles again in the showing season 2007-2008 including two Championships titles at The 2007 Royal Canterbury A&P Show. Supreme of Show at local A&P. Champion Ridden Cob at The National Showing Championships and Champion Park Hack at Waimate? A&P.
FUll sister B. Shamrock won five times from five outings at Level One dressage including 5th place Nationwide at Level One Accumulator from only three starts(She won two of them!) She was also in the winning Auckland team for the Helen Holden Memorial Trophy -Aucklands first win of this prestigious trophy since its inception in 1978!! She won other titles see entries concerning Ballytruckle Shamrock. Shammy is being prepared for Showhunter this season. she loves it!
Another full sister is Ballytruckle Sally Gap currently competing in Endurance with my husband Steve and gets oohs and ahhs wherever she goes. Great recovery times and takes the whole business of loping up hill and down dale in her very capable stride! She loves to jump so watch this space.

Valiant
I have used this fantastic stallion three times already, twice over a Standard bred Mare "Ti ana" and just recently over my Welsh mountain mare "Troon Serenade".
Every time the results have been awesome. Two colts from "Ti ana" who are both excellent examples of the Welsh cross with Valiants great nature and style.
On Valentines day another stunning colt born to "Serenade", a big strong buckskin boy known as "Lenny". We are really excited about his future and loving his cheeky attitude and confident outgoing nature already at 10 days old.
I love Ballytruckle Welsh cobs and have had the best time being a part of the visiting mares group. The "Wests" are fantastically friendly and supportive, My girls are always loved and extremely well cared for, and of course we all LOVE Valiant!
